Judge Not — Matthew 7:1-5

May 2, 2017

Week 28 in our series The Sermon on the Mount: A Manifesto on Life in the Kingdom

In this week's teaching we looked at Matthew 7:1-5 and considered Jesus' command that we not judge one another with improper motives. Instead we are to make righteous judgements regarding our sins first and our brother's and sister's sins second. Jesus doesn't say to point out the speck in your brother's eye, he says take it out. And to take out sin that present in another's life, we must judge rightly and walk alongside our brother or sister to gently remove the sin that's present.
